May is a time to honour the strength of matriarchs. Matraiarchs who nurture, lead, and carry knowledge across generations. As we recognize both Mother’s Day and Red Dress Day, we hold space for love and remembrance, lifting up the voices, stories, and enduring resilience of Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people.
Growing Together. This season marks a time of growth for NOFCS. We are raising new leaders, celebrating long-term staff, and saying goodbye to those who have shaped our journey. On March 8, we recognize International Women’s Day, honouring the women and matriarchs who strengthen our community and families. With spring approaching, we are reminded that growth comes through change and we look forward to what lies ahead.
