Aboriginal Family Group Conferencing Program

"To Provide culturally appropriate health and social programs and services for all people"

Also referred to as Family Group Circle

Aboriginal Family Group Conferencing Program is a provincial program which recognizes and respects the rights and capacity of Aboriginal families/communities to care for and plan for their children through a collaborative planning and decision making process designed to support the rebuilding of a family’s support network.

The AFGC Facilitator will support this process by facilitating meetings where all family and community members who have agreed to be involved and have played important roles in the child/children’s lives come together to help develop a plan of care.
